36th Annual Hang Gliding Swepctacular at Jockey's Ridge State Park, Nags Head. 10 am - 4 pm. Come see the best sport hang gliders from around the world compete on the dunes of Jockey's Ridge State Park. During this competition, there will also be activities for the whole family taking place across the street at Kitty Hawk Kites. The two loathed one another, yet are buried in the same tomb in London's Westminster Abbey. The production takes place in the tomb, in the present day. NC Acquarium on Roanoke Island 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Spooks, ghosts and strange aquatic creatures will greet children as they enjoy this popular event. Aquarium staff will make preparations to ensure a spooktacular time for all. This event will feature and underwater dive show, Count Sharkula, creepy crafts, activities, spine tingling scream contests, costume contests, and lots of yummy munchies to be given to each child during the event. Ticket sales begin October 1st with admission fee for ages 3 and up, under 2 admitted free.
