The Best Outer Banks Outdoor Dining

Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar

BlueWater Grill & Raw Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a date night for visitors staying at Pirate’s Cove Resort. While the restaurant may not offer true outdoor dining, one of our dining room areas overlooking the marina has large windows that slide open, creating an open-air room.

Mimi’s Tiki Hut

Mimi’s Tiki Hut is a small outdoor patio sitting below Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar that provides a fantastic spot to kick back and relax with food and your favorite drink.

Stripers Bar & Grill

Stripers Bar & Grill offers fantastic outdoor dining in the Outer Banks. In addition to the incredible waterfront views, the menu is full of seafood, poultry, steaks, and a great wine list.

Lost Colony Brewery and Café

The Lost Colony Brewery and Cafe is a great place to grab a beer and a burger in the heart of downtown Manteo. This local craft brewery serves up a selection of over a half-dozen beers brewed in house.  Their menu even has higher-end food like steaks, crabcakes, and scallops.

Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant

Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant near Nags Head is one of our favorite places to savor local seafood with a view. They serve up dishes filled with flavor from lobster rolls to fresh scallops. The sound side location makes this an ideal spot to watch the sunset in their outdoor dining area.

Pamlico Jacks

Pamlico Jack’s  is a great place to enjoy outdoor dining in the Outer Banks with kids. A pirate theme rings throughout this restaurant overlooking Roanoke Sound, with a large pirate ship bar and deck. They offer a fantastic selection of food items on the menu that will satisfy the cravings for the adults and kids in your party.

Fish Heads Bar & Grill

Fish Head’s Bar & Grill is also on the top of our list of best places to enjoy outdoor dining in the Outer Banks. This hotspot sits at the base of the Outer Banks Fishing Pier and provides breathtaking views of the Atlantic. You won’t want to miss out on their happy hour!

Outer Banks Brewing Station

If you want to grab a locally made craft beer and some tasty grub, then you will love the Outer Banks Brewing Station. This Kill Devil Hills hotspot also serves as an entertainment hub, where walls of TVs and live music (and outdoor seating) provide a great atmosphere for watching a big game or taking in some live music.

Plan Your Outer Banks Getaway Town of Manteo

Pirate’s Cove is the ideal home base for those wanting to explore the Outer Banks on the water. Our properties feature a number of locations on beautiful Roanoke Island, where you are steps away from the waterfront.
