The Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse is a reconstruction of the old lighthouse and an active navigation aid for ships traveling through the Roanoke Sound and also houses educational activities in coordination with the Roanoke Maritime Museum. While it may not offer the same stately sight as most Outer Banks lighthouses, it’s definitely worth checking out while exploring Manteo.
